Aviva confirmed as new name for stadium

Aviva — the international insurance giant and owner of Hibernian Insurance — has been awarded the naming rights to Lansdowne Road.

At a cost of €40m, Aviva will be the name for the stadium from the opening in April 2010. The deal is for a period of 10 years.
Work continues apace on the new stadium with the commencement in January of the installation of the first roof steels – another major project milestone.
