Thursday 23 April 2009
PM Group today announced that it has acquired Dewjo'c Architects, a leading architectural practice in the UK with expertise in the education and biopharma sectors and a growing reputation in healthcare.

Its clients include GlaxoSmithKline, London Underground as well as award winning universities and colleges in both the UK and Washington.

Dewjo'c will be merged into PM Group’s existing architectural practice, Devereux Architects which is already one of the top 50 architectural practices in the UK. This latest acquisition will allow PM Group’s architectural business to become a leading architectural brand internationally and expected to be one of the top 20 practices in the UK.

Devereux, which will employ over 250 people across the UK and Europe, already has a track record of working on high profile flagship projects including the new £1 billion Barts and Royal London Hospital, the British Museum, King’s College, London and ICI Corporate Headquarters.

Pat McGrath, CEO of PM Group, said, “The acquisition and merger of these two major award winning UK architectural practices is a significant move for the PM Group in developing a multi-skilled, multi-office and integrated architecture and engineering capability.  This will give us greater opportunities to expand the business in the UK, particularly in the health, education and pharma sectors, enabling us to win more architect-led projects going forward.”
“Overnight Devereux has become one of the UK’s top architectural practices.  It is a very exciting opportunity for us and Dewjo'c's expertise will be an excellent addition to our core business. We intend to grow Devereux Architects further and to capture significantly larger projects in the UK and internationally.”

Mr. McGrath said: “Today’s acquisition is another significant step in PM Group’s global expansion programme. We have 1800 people working to serve blue chip clients in 50 countries worldwide and this latest investment allows us to continue expanding our world class expertise and specialist skills to the private and public sector internationally".
