Lifetime Lab Wins Heritage Award

Cork City Council's 'Lifetime Lab' Heritage and Environmental Sustainability Centre was recently awarded in the Heritage section of the Opus Architecture and Construction Awards.

The Lifetime Lab is housed in an old Victorian Waterworks Building on the Banks of the River Lee, in Cork, Ireland. The Facility contains three 1904 steam engines and boilers, an interactive Visitor Centre with exhibits on sustainable living, a conference theatre, exhibition area and schools resource area. The facility is now also home to Cork City Councils Energy Agency.
