Project Management Group wins Prestigious Irish Exporters Award

Project Management Group (PM), Ireland’s largest engineering design and project management firm, won the ‘Emerging Markets Exporter of the Year’ title in last nights annual Irish Exporters Association Export Awards. PM was recognised as the Emerging Markets Exporter due to an 'exceptional performance in entering new and non-traditional markets.'

Commenting on the Award, Michael Shelly, Managing Director of PM International said: ‘We are delighted to receive this award. It is a recognition of the level of work and investment that we have made in recent years in developing our business outside Ireland. At present overseas activity represents 15% of our overall income, and we are continuing to grow this market.  In recent years, PM Group has worked in most Central and Eastern European countries and in a number of other global locations. We are also continuing to focus on our business in Ireland. Our involvement in projects such as the Lansdowne Road Stadium and the Centocor Biomedicines Campus underlines the level of project management expertise that we have developed'

Headquartered in Ireland with offices in the UK and Poland, PM Group is an international provider of professional services in project and construction management, engineering design and technical consulting to clients in the biopharma, medical and advanced technologies, food, and infrastructure sectors.  With a team of 1,300 people, the company was founded in 1973.
In addition to its bases in Dublin and Cork, the company has significant multi-discipline offices in the UK and in Poland where it has developed a strong multinational client base. PM Group is currently supervising infrastructure projects valued in excess of €250m in Eastern Europe, and another €200M of industrial projects across Europe. PM International Consulting carried out work in over 20 countries last year, from Estonia to Macedonia, and from Uzbekistan to China.  Currently PM is working on projects in Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Latvia and Jordan.  A new subsidiary was established in Russia in 2003 on foot of several complex projects on which PM Group is working in Moscow.
