Abbott Ireland Diagnostics Division developed a new manufacturing facility on a greenfield site in Longford and expanded its existing facility in Sligo.
Abbott Ireland Diagnostics Division (AIDD), a subsidiary of Abbott laboratories, manufactures a broad range of innovative instruments and diagnostic kits across key segments in the global diagnostics market.
The fast-track Greenfield development in Longford involved the construction of an 11,500m² manufacturing facility on an 20 acre site. The facility includes class 100/10,000 cleanroom manufacturing for aseptic filling, laboratory, packing, cold storage, warehousing space, together with offices, canteen, staff welfare facilities and technical services.
Services provided by PM included project and construction management, architecture, mechanical, electrical and process engineering, and quantity surveying.
