Slovakia, Water and Waste Water Facilities

PM is providing technical services as 'FIDIC Engineer' under the EC ISPA Programme for the development of water and wastewater treatment facilities in the Municipality of Banska Bystrica, Slovakia.

The Water and Wastewater company Banskà Bystrica, StVS, is the recipient of a grant from the EC ISPA Programme which covers a works contract involving the construction of an extension to the Waste Water Treatment Plant and the construction of main sewer and sanitary networks for the Municipal Water Company.

As part of a separate Technical Assistance tender funded by the EC ISPA Programme, PM has been selected to provide the technical services of 'FIDIC Engineer' as specified in the FIDIC 'Yellow Book' covering design-build construction contracts. Simultaneously, the project team will provide supervision inspection services in compliance with the Slovak Construction Law.

Scope of PM Services:

Performing the role of  Engineer on the FIDIC 'Yellow Book' design-build works contracts, the project team:

  • Is responsible for the overall supervision of the Works Contracts
  • Establishes supervision systems and procedures
  • Establishing Quality Assurance systems, Document Management Systems for management of the TA project
  • Monitors and reports on works contractors' progress
  • Checks design compliance of works contractors
  • Financial administration of the Contract on behalf of the Client
  • Provides technical support to the Client during the Defects Notification Period.
