GSK Biologicals - Vaccine Manufacture, Belgium

This project involved the revamp of an existing production unit to provide additional capacity at GSK's Headquarters in Rixensart, Belgium

GSK Biologicals, one of the world’s leading vaccine manufacturers, is headquartered in Rixensart where the majority of Glaxo SmithKline’s activities in the field of vaccine research, development and production are conducted.

This project involved 700 m² of additional revamped space to provide capacity to meet increasing demand. The schedule was aggressive with mechanical completion 15 months after engineering kickoff. The revamp involved demolition of an existing production unit in the same building while adjacent facilities remained in operation.
