Support for the Ministry of Environmental Protection in designing and developing a Master Plan for EU environmental law approximation for all environmental sectors.
PM began the implementation of the Master Plan by addressing priority environmental sectors of the acquis and providing compliance schedules for selected directives.
The project will also assist the Ministry in the transposition of the EU Acquis, including secondary legislation. The main results of the project activities will be:
- To strengthen the institutional framework for the implementation of the EU Acquis and improve stakeholders’ involvement and participation;
- To strengthen the administrative capacity for environmental law approximation;
- To assist the Ministry in fulfilling the obligations under the National Programme for Integration in the EU;
- To assist the Ministry with its organisational structures and institutional strengthening activities;
- To provide assistance with the building of relationships with regional and local bodies involved in the management of the environment.
